When you know the baby shower you are attending needs to be an Organic Baby Shower event, you often imagine that this is going to be expensive. Not only that, trying to source truly organic products is not easy.....just type in Organic Baby Products in to Google, Bing or Yahoo and you get the picture. Which store to go for ? How do I know if the products really are organic or is the retailer just saying they are !

However, with a little care and research you will find a number of online retailers that do offer truly organic baby clothes, soft toys, wooden toys, food, blankets etc and various brands at affordable prices. Beware though, many sites will advertise their products (own brands or otherwise) as organic but this is not always technically the case. My advice is always ask the
retailer or email them for more information saying you are looking for a truly organic purchase.

Tips to help you on your way to buying economically and organically

Number One - Look for discount codes or check out the companies Facebook / Twitter sites to see if there are any voucher codes you
could us.

Number Two - Look out for special pricing, free delivery and other promotions to ensure you get a good online deal

Number Three - Look at the websites 'clearance or end of line ranges' this works especially well for clothing

Number Four - Think out of the box as to what is needed. Remember towels, blankets, snuggles, mittens, hats etc are just as important as T Shirts and shorts

Number Five - Baby Hampers offer great economical value as quite often they include lots of different clothing all bundled up in a lovely reed hamper. If you bought each item individually, it would cost more.

Number Six - Think lotions, what other gifts will the parents need ? Creams, Talc etc

Number Seven - Food stuffs - Lo9ok for baby food that really is organic, has it been grown in accordance with the guidelines ? If in doubt ask the retailer as they should be able to advice.

Number Eight - Think Toys, there are some great baby toys made out of organic cotton, check the label or ask the online retailer for more information as to what the tag on it says ?

Number Nine - Baby Toys such as wooden ones offer really good value but do check about the history of the wood that has been used. Has it been grown in accordance with the guidelines to ensure it's sustainable woodland and in accordance with any other environmental guidelines.

Number Ten - If it seems too good to be true, it probably is....but then this is true of pretty much anything isn't it ?

Number Eleven - Remember that once you have bought your organic baby shower gift, gone to the trouble of ensuring it really is organic through and through, 100% for sure, don't then fall into the trap of simply wrapping it it up in 'regular' wrapping paper ! It is organic paper isnt it ?
